Psalm 91:1-2
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” This Psalm is one of the more well-known psalms found in the scripture. It has been quoted by men in the battle field as well as martyrs who are about to lay down their life for the Gospel. It has been quoted publicly by presidents and leaders in the government during times of turmoil. The reason being is that this psalm is all about the safety and security that can be found in the presence of God. But the platform of this whole chapter and the protective power of God is set in the fact that you ‘TRUST’ in the Lord your God. Trust for the most part is what we all struggle with. For trust is always sandwiched between prayer and answer, request and result, need and miracle. Place your trust in Him who will never fail you, who is always there, and who holds all the power and secrets of the universe. Our Heavenly Father’s greatest pleasure is when His children stand on their trust in Him. Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
