The last time that I was able to minister on a Sunday morning was on the 21st. I have started a series in these early days of 2018 and its all about getting back to the basic needs of the Body of Christ given in John 15:5 and that being without Jesus we can do nothing because He is the vine and we are the branches. My message this week is on the vitality of God’s Word in our lives, the first one was on prayer. I know that these are terribly elementary, but I believe that’s why they are so easily forsaken. The 119th Psalm is not only the longest psalm in the Bible but it if the most profound disclosure on the importance of God’s Word to the believer.
His Word will Cover and Keep: Psalm 119:9-16 9 How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word. 10 With my whole heart I have sought You; Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments! 11 Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You. 12 Blessed are You, O Lord! Teach me Your statutes. 13 With my lips I have declared All the judgments of Your mouth. 14 I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, As much as in all riches. 15 I will meditate on Your precepts, And contemplate Your ways. 16 I will delight myself in Your statutes; I will not forget Your word It will also Save and Sanctify you. Psalm 119:145-152145 I cry out with my whole heart; Hear me, O Lord! I will keep Your statutes. 146 I cry out to You; Save me, and I will keep Your testimonies. 147 I rise before the dawning of the morning, And cry for help; I hope in Your word. 148 My eyes are awake through the night watches, That I may meditate on Your word. 149 Hear my voice according to Your loving kindness ; O Lord, revive me according to Your justice. 150 They draw near who follow after wickedness; They are far from Your law. 151 You are near, O Lord, And all Your commandments are truth. 152 Concerning Your testimonies, I have known of old that You have founded them forever.
