Matthew 5: 14-16
14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see tour good works and glorify your Father in heaven. As Christians we are called to be the light of Christ in this world. The way Jesus words it in these scriptures is to say that you can stop the light of your faith from shining in this world: people can’t help but see it. In Matthew 6:23 Jesus tells us to make sure that the light that is in us is not darkness. So how can you have light and darkness in you at the same time? The answer is it’s all about what comes forth from you, is it light or darkness? For there are those who profess to having the light but all that others see come forth from them in darkness. This Wednesday night October 31st we are going to invade the darkness and bring the light of Christ right in the devils backyard through our “Treat the Streets” Ministry. Tell as many as you can about what we are doing but most of all come out and be a part of this ministry and let your light shine to this city.
