Proverbs 29:18
Where there is no vision, the people perish: This well quoted passage holds so much truth and inspiration within it, not just for our church and ministry but for our personal lives as well. For men we will always be more committed and work harder when there is a visible goal and purpose to what and why we are laboring. On February 5, 2017 we will be having our vision casting service here at the Newport Church of God. In this service we express what we are wanting to accomplish in 2017 but we also review all our achievements and goals that were reached in 2016. The problem with so many that labors in the Kingdom of God is that they don’t know what a win looks like as a church and an individual. If you don’t know what a win looks like then you will never have a point of reference as to how far you have come and all that you have accomplished to this point in life and ministry. I want to encourage everyone to have a vision and to set goals for this year. Whether it be getting out of debt, losing weight, reading more, increase your giving, or just changing the way you speak. You will only achieve what you set up to pursue, and if you don’t set a date and a mark how will you know when you get there. Big changes swing on small decisions just as large doors swing on small hinges.
