From the Pastor's Desk

​As many of you well know we are getting ready to enter my favorite time of the year, which of course is autumn. There are so many reasons why fall is special to me. For one I was born in October, then there is various hunting seasons and lest we commit the unpardonable sin in failing to mention, "It's Football Time In TN". There are several significant spiritual feasts and events that also take place. I will not go through all of them but probably the most significant one which is, "The Feast of Trumpets" or "Feast of Harvest". Many prophecy scholars believe that the Rapture will take place at some time during this particular feast. Just the thought of harvest is exciting for it is a time of increase, a time of reaping from all the labor that was put into it, a time of gathering. The Fall season is also one of church growth, for all the vacations are over with, school has started back and everyone is settling into a routine. As a church we must see the urgency of the hour for there is a harvest of souls to be gathered. This harvest like any other can't take place without sowers and reapers. Let's make a great push for the Body of Christ this harvest season and do our part to see souls saved before the last trumpet sounds. (The trumpet of gathering is the last trumpet blown with the Feast of Trumpets). John 4:35 Do you not say, "There are still four months and then comes the harvest"? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!
