A very familiar passage of scripture that people like to use especially when giving
council to someone who is in a tough moment is: Romans 8:28 “All things work together for the good of them who love God and are the called according to His purpose.” Now to take this scripture in context one must take it first at face value for what it says. Notice it says “all things work together” thats not just talking about the flat tire you had. Its talking about the tire along with the battery running out on your cell phone, along with your debit card not working for insufficient funds along with the slow car that got in front of you on your way that made you late. It’s a scenario of things together to protect you and keep you and direct you into the glory of God. But we must also realize that everyone doesn’t love God, nor does everyone answer the call according to His purpose. Most love themselves and this world more and only answer the call to their own agenda not God’s purpose. So at the same time I don’t believe someone is qualified for the blessing of this scripture just because they say they are a believer they must love God and His purpose first.
