One of the most radical changes in a man’s life occurs when a tax collector by the name of Zacchaeus meets Jesus for the first time. This meeting is recorded in the Gospel of Luke chapter 19. The Bible says that this man was of a short stature and was so desperate to get to Jesus that he ran ahead of the crowd that was gathered and climbed up in a tree that he might just get a glimpse of this man called Jesus.
Little did he know that Jesus desired to meet him more than he wanted to see Jesus. So when Jesus got to where he was, He looked up in the tree and told Zacchaeus to come down for salvation was coming to dinner that night. This tax collector then by the words of his mouth showed the change that had taken place in his heart.
You see when Jesus makes a change in you the same thing will take place in you. Instead of being a taker Zacchaeus became a giver, instead of being one who takes he became one who restores.
When you love Jesus like this you can’t help it, you will want to do all you can for the Lord you serve. That’s why they call it servitude. That’s why Jesus Himself said that it’s the profitable servant that is the one who gets rewarded.
 Get off the sidelines, and get into the game. There is no joy like that joy of serving our great King and Master Jesus Christ.
