3 John 1:2
2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.
 
This scripture is probably one of the most quoted scriptures in the Bible as it comes to health and prosperity. To the point that some ministers and ministries have miss used it for personal gain.
But we must keep in mind that you have to have an original to have a counterfeit. So the message is still true that God desires to heal and prosper you. Still there are many that dismiss it because it doesn’t seem to be working for them.
There is a key phrase in this passage that many leave out and it is, “as your soul prospers”. This was put there to remind us that spiritual development must come with prosperity lest the prospering be our downfall. So the very thing that could be holding back our harvest is our growth in spirit and truth.
