​Today is October 1st, the beginning of my favorite time of the year. So many things that I love take place in this month. Football for instance all forms and classes I love, hunting season is getting in full swing, the State Ministers Retreat takes place this month also. It seems like I’m forgetting something very significant that happened in October, Oh yea, MY birthday on the 8th. See how many great things happen in October it is also one of the most beautiful times of the year in East TN with the leaves changing. Just wondering if that means everyone born in October that lives in East TN is beautiful? Obviously not everyone just look at my younger brother.
But there are huge spiritual principles that take place this month also. In Israel the Feast of Tabernacles takes place and also the Celebration of the Torah. Many scholars believe that the rapture will take place in either the Feast of Trumpets or the Feast of Tabernacles. I am in no way falling into the trap of date setting, but. The Feast of Tabernacle was also known as a Feast of Gathering. It celebrated the exodus from Egypt and the Jewish people would make a pilgrimage to Jerusalem to camp in booths and worship at the Temple. This is just another on of those “could it be” notes to keep in mind. The important things is to stay rapture ready.
