On Wednesday evenings I am doing a series on “How To Win With Your Attitude”. In this series of sermons I have focused so far on getting control of your attitude and not letting your attitude control you. For there are those who their opinion is there god, and if they are not constantly getting affirmation from someone then they feel they are being taken advantage of.
A changed attitude comes with a renewed mind and a renewed mind will change you habits and thus your lifestyle. 1 Thessalonians 5:14-22 14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all. 15 See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all. 16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 19 Do not quench the Spirit. 20 Do not despise prophecies. 21 Test all things; hold fast what is good. 22 Abstain from every form of evil. In this scripture the Apostle Paul; gives us a whole list of things that have to change in our lives in order to do them right in God’s eyes’ and your attitude toward each must change. Measure this list against your own life and see where you stand. When you do this the results of a life like this are given in verses 23 and 24. 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it
