March is always an exciting time of the year. Winter is starting to lose its grip and spring is beginning to break through the cold little by little. But when March gets here as a pastor and a Christian I always begin to think about Easter and the resurrection of our Lord.
As I was meditating on the Passion of Christ this week I begin to realize something that I never had before. I realized that when man first fell in the garden and a separation from God our Heavenly Father took place because of sin, something took place in the heart of a loving and compassionate God. Our Heavenly Father which loves us eternally and without reservation began a relentless quest to rescue His people. The climax of that quest came when He sent His son Jesus Christ to live and walk among us for 33 years. To know what it was like to be human and be tempted just like we are and live a perfect life without sin. Then embrace the cross to become the sacrifice for our sin and open the door to the Throne Room of God and pave the way for our salvation. Which will be complete when He returns for us very soon. Romans 5:7-97 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.
