Psalm 139:1-6
1 O Lord, You have searched me and known me. 2 You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. 3 You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways. 4 For there is not a word on my tongue But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether 5 You have hedged me behind and before, And laid Your hand upon me. 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is high, I cannot attain it. Then in verse 14 He writes, “I will praise thee for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” God knows every fiber of my being, He in His divine infinite wisdom created this body every cell every hair and knows them by number. Think about this; He gave us eyes that can distinguish 8 million colors, ears consisting of 20,000 hairs discerning 300,000 tones. A circulatory system that is 60 – 100 miles long. A heart that pumps 5 quarts of blood per minute. A muscle structure of 600 muscles that could lift 25 tones. A nervous system consisting of 10 million nerves, 1,300 nerve endings per square inch of fingertips that send touch sensations to the brain at the rate of 350 per second. A skeletal structure of 206 bones. A digestive tract that is 30 feet long. One square inch of skin contains 19 million cells, 625 sweat glands, 65 hairs, 19 feet of blood vessels, 19,000 sensory cells. A stomach that contains acid so powerful it has to create a new lining every three days to keep from digesting itself. A brain that weighs 3 lbs. contains some 100 billion neurons, more than 100,000 chemical reactions occur every second nerve cells that send impulses to the body at a rate of over 200 mph, and stores 10 – 15 trillion memories in a lifetime
