Isaiah 43:19
Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert From this scripture one can clearly see that God periodically recreates, or simply does things over a new to bring a freshness to the mission at hand. This same thing must happen in churches that are in a continual growth mode. They must every few years reinvent themselves in order to keep up with changing times and changing congregations. We have hit that time here at the Newport Church of God. It is time to evaluate what we are doing right, what we can do better, what we are doing that needs to be eradicated completely, and simply what needs a change in leadership and vision. This is one of the toughest times as a Lead Pastor. The reason being is that you must make changes that benefit the whole body regardless of how it might or could affect individuals. The thing to remember in times of change within a church body is that it is nothing personal, but it absolutely has to be about the Kingdom of God
